Henry Guese and Anna (Bonsen) Landwehr
Anna Maria Ilsabein 'Anna' (Bonsen) Landwehr was born in Westerenger, Westphalia, Prussia, on Jun 19, 1816, and emigrated to America with her five children in the fall of 1859. Heinrich 'Henry' Guese was born in Lippe-Detmold about 1806-1807. Some, or all, of his children from his first marriage were born in Lippe-Detmold before Henry brought his family to America.
Henry, a widower with at least five children, and Anna, a widow with five children, were married in Franklin County, Missouri, on December 31, 1859, shortly after Anna's arrival in America. A copy of this photograph was provided to me by Ella (Linenschmidt) Trietsch, a granddaughter of Anna's eldest son, Henry Landwehr. Ella reported that the photo is a wedding photo of Anna and Henry Guese.
